Inspiring your home with Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner, and what better way to get in the spirit than to decorate your home without the 'spooky' decorations! From apples and pumpkins to bright-colored leaves, decorating for this time of year is so much fun. Get ready to fall in love!

Make your porch super cozy: If you are lucky to have a dreamy deck (or a balcony), make it extra cozy with blankets and throw pillows. It will be the perfect spot to sip your morning latte and enjoy an evening book as the weather warms up! Image via Design*Sponge

Go light and a little rustic: Some of our favorite fall home décor can be found in rustic-style houses that we come across. We love how light and bright, yet super cozy, 'halloween' décor looks in this farmhouse! Image via Lauren McBride

The perfect coffee table: We love the chic and simple styling of this coffee table. What’s more, it can pretty much be replicated no matter what your space looks like—or how big it is! All it takes is a few mini pumpkins (paint them white, black and gold), a little succulent in a copper pot (Kmart is our go-to!), a matchbook, a rich-smelling nutmeg or spiced candle and a vase of your favorite flowers! Keep it simple: It’s amazing what two pumpkins and a little décor over a mantel can do. This works especially well if you have lots of wood and bright white walls. It feels a little minimal, but super warm and cozy. Image via Thoughts From Alice

Start with the door: No matter the size of your space—or what it looks like—it’s always fun to just decorate your front door. We have so much fun making ours look cozy, festive and inviting. We love the look of this front door, which sticks to some of the classics—different-colored pumpkins and a hay wreath.

Have fun with your mantel: A fireplace mantel is the perfect place to switch up your décor as the seasons change, so have some fun with it by making a statement! We love the fun velvet pumpkins on this one. Mixes our Aussie spring and bright colours in with Halloween! They are cute and so on trend. Image via Modern Glam

Add a wreath: We love a pretty fall wreath, especially because you can pretty much hang it anywhere and it doesn’t really matter what kind of space you have. This beautiful festive wreath is one of our favorites. Time to get crafty! Image via Designlovefest

Spell it out: We absolutely love how simple and chic this ‘thankful’ sign looks in this beautiful farm home. It fits in perfectly with the rest of the décor and creates a lovely statement. Image via Liz Marie Blog

Layer it up: Pick a spot in your home to create a cozy nook (or do this all over your home). Add lots of different layers and textures with throw pillows and blankets. We love how bright and light this space is, and how the faux fur throw and richly colored velvet pillows add so much warmth and coziness to it. Image via lujoliving.com

Spooky Glam: Grab a few 'spooky' props and blend them in with some glamorous finishings for a hallow-wow home! We love the little fake spiders placed around the coffee table, striped candles, and painted pumpkin. Image via 2ladies&achair

Paint your Pumpkins: These pumpkins are so gorgeous and much easier / quicker to make a statement than carving them all out. You can place these anywhere around your home. Think a shelf in the bathroom, coffee table, entryway, or front yard. These pumpkins are so cute and we are gushing over the glitter!

Paint your Pumpkins - Round 2: We love this idea so much we had to give it a second take! How gorgeous are these painted white pumpkins with gold sequins glued on. Perfect for a light and playful Halloween home!
